Life long resident of Laguna Beach. Former owner of the Oak Street Surf Shop 1978-1984. Life long surfer.
Became a competitive traditional paddler in 1989 winning the Catalina Classic 32 mile race. Place 2nd 1990, 4th 1991. Have multiple wins and places in many events in CA and Hawaii.
Competed in many races in 2017 at 55 yrs. old placing in 7 events and qualifying for the coveted Catalina Classic.
Finished the 2017 Classic in 7:53 in the worst conditions in recent history. Was able to raise $3,500 for the foundation.
I am seated for the 2018 Classic.
Married to my amazing wife for 22 years and have 24 , 7, 8 year old boys.
