MOF California Tour Schedule

MOF is stoked to continue to spread the Aloha throughout the rest of our California Tour! We will be making several stops in the Golden State, so stay tuned to our calendar for upcoming events!

Here is a breakdown on what is to come from MOF:

This past Friday May 13th we visited Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego and Jason Magallanes hosted his Surf Experience Day in Del Mar on Saturday, May 14th.

This week, we will be packing our bags and heading up north to share smiles with the children at Valley Children’s Hospital in Madera on Tuesday, May 17th and Sutter Children’s Hospital in Sacramento on May 18th. On the same day, we will head down to Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Oakland and will be concluding the NorCal hospital visits at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital and Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital on Thursday, May 19th.

We will also be celebrating the life of our beloved MOF Ambassador, Shawn Barney Barron, at our Memorial Surf Experience Day at Cowells Beach in Santa Cruz on Saturday, May 21st.

Closing up the month of May, we’re joining the staff at Children’s Hospital Orange County on May 26th to put on a fun day for the kids in the pediatric ward.

Come join us for a day of waves in Laguna Beach, the birthplace of Mauli Ola Foundation, on the following Saturday, May 28th, which will be hosted by MOF Director of Development, Hans Hagen.

As always, thank you so much to our sponsors Ambry Genetics, GoPro, Flexfit, Chiesi, and Da Hui for helping us make this tour possible every year!

Blame it on the Beach Boys and my orange Morey boogie board that would send my seven year-old self spinning through Salt Creek’s whitewash. I didn’t know it yet, but some kind of bug bit me good—the type of bug that constantly keeps an extra body in the lineup. This bug isn’t so rare these days, but it’s been known to cause symptoms like extreme joy when near an ocean, daydreams about the ocean and the constant urge to ride waves—results may vary! For the past 12 years, I have been surfing the California coastline as well as a few other spots on the globe. These adventures and more can be found on my blog: confessionsofasurfergirl.com It is incredibly inspirational to see how MOF changes the lives of many individuals through surfing and other ocean activities. Stoked to be a part of the Ohana!
